Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has congratulated Vikram Pandit on becoming the CEO of the world’s largest financial conglomerate Citi Group.
“It is a matter of great pride for all of us that a person born in this state would now head world’s largest banking and financial group. I am confident that your astute and dynamic leadership will take Citi Bank to the new heights of glory”, Deshmukh said in a message to Pandit.
“Please accept heartiest congratulations for having been selected to head the world’s largest banking group”, he said.
Deshmukh expressed confidence that India, particularly Maharashtra, would always be in sharp focus of the Citi Group’s operations and assured all possible help to Citi Group for expansion of activities in Maharashtra.
